SRO have published the details and draft regulations for the upcoming Sepang 12 Hours. The race will take place over the weekend of 11-13 December 2015.


The 2015 schedule will offer three days of track action, including paid testing, free practice and qualifying with the the race scheduled to finish Saturday midnight.

The field will be comprised of four main classes; GT3, GTC, GT4/Sport Production, Touring Production and Invitation.

The GT3 class will include FIA Homologated GT3 cars and National G3 homologations, JAF GT300 & Super Taikyu STX and will have 3 podiums; Overall, Pro Am & AM.

Cars issued from single-make series, such as the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Ferrari Challenge, Maserati Trofeo, Porsche Carrera Cup, Audi R8 LMS Cup etc. will be eligible to compete in the GTC class. In special circumstances, variations may be approved and are subject to a specific BOP, however, these approved mods must not give any car an advantage. The class will be open to Pro Am only and one trophy will be given to the highest finishing car of each brand, for example best finishing Audi R8, Lamborghini, Ferrari etc…

The GT4 class is open to all GT4 cars complying with current SRO regulations, such as Ginetta, Lotus Evora, BMW M3, Aston Martin Vantage, Nissan 350Z, Toyota GT86, Porsche 911 GT4 etc. with the Sport Production class allowing non FIA homologated sports cars of 1900cc and above. ST3 Super Taikyu, Sports cars with diesel engines above 1900cc, any variant or modified models are able to apply for approval.

Looking at the Touring Production class, this is designed for Group N & A cars of 1900cc and above, Non FIA Homologated Touring cars with cubic capacity between 1900 to 4500, Super Taikyu cars (ST2 & ST4), Touring Saloon with diesel engine above 1900cc, Touring & Saloon cars with petrol engine smaller than 1600cc. As with the Sports Production class, any variant or modified models are to apply for approval.

Cars such as the Honda Civic, Renault Clio/Megane, Subaru/Toyota GT86 will also be able to apply for approval and a final list of eligible cars will follow.

The GT4/Sport & Touring Production will support overall podiums in both classes.

Finally, there will be an Invitation class for cars not eligible for any of the above classes.
