ROAL Motorsports have today become the first team to officially announce a race program using the new for 2016 4.4-litre V8 BMW M6 GT3, by confirming their entry into the 2016 Blancpain GT Series.
The Italian team has previous experience with the Blancpain GT Series having campaigned a full series in 2014 and the Total 24 Hours of Spa this year with Alex Zanardi, Timo Glock and Bruno Spengler.
“During the previous two seasons we contested the Blancpain GT Series with the BMW Z4 GT3.
We are planning to continue in the 2016 series with the new M6, but at the moment we do not know if that will be in Endurance or Sprint, or both series.” said Roberto Ravaglia, Team Principal.
The drivers for the BMW M6 GT3 will be subject to a further announcement.
