With 55 cars on the entry list the final round of the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series, the iRacing.com GT500, promises to be an exciting affair. 22 cars will vie for Pro Cup honours, 22 in Pro-Am and 11 teams have entered in the Am Cup.
One of the most notable additions to the entry list is the presence of former FIA-GT champion Karl Wendlinger on the #33 Car Collection Mercedes. The Austrian will be joined by Peter Schmidt and Daniel Allemann in the Pro-Am Cup. Other new entry in the Pro-Am Cup is the #3 Audi of Sebastien Loeb Racing, driven by David Hallyday, Christophe Hamon and Lonni Martins.
Another Mercedes SLS is back, after being absent at the Total 24 Hours of Spa. ROWE Racing is increasing its chances for the Pro Cup teams title – they trail leaders Belgian Audi Club Team WRT by 12 points – by entering the #98 SLS for Kenneth Heyer, Miguel Toril and Nicolai Sylvest.
In Am Cup the battle for the drivers’ title has become a three-way fight between the drivers of the #24 Team Parker Racing Audi, the #56 Attempto Racing Porsche and #111 Kessel Racing Ferrari, after the withdrawal of the Glorax Racing Ferrari.
