Australian James Allen will join Paini Racing’s regular crew of Britain’s Will Stevens and France’s Julien Canal for the French team’s sixth year in the European Le Mans Series.
“We have high hopes this season to be at the top of the ELMS table based on last year’s results.” said Sarah Abadie, Panis Racing Team Manager. “Our engineering and technical team has acquired a greater knowledge of both the car and tyre management.
We are proud to have managed to bring together three top drivers to compete in this new endurance edition. For his 4th participation at our side, Will (Stevens) is our spearhead; not only is his speed on the track impressive but he also has a sharp sense of race analysis and communicates precisely the technical information to the team and his teammates.
Will will again be partnered with Julien Canal, who last year extended his reputation as an experienced amature driver and showed really good speed averages and a faultless season.
Finally, it gives me great satisfaction to welcome in James (Allen) to the tem whose past results in LMP2 have shown his high level of performance; James is a real added value for the team.
We have the weapons to fight against the competition, which is certainly fierce, to win races and aim for 1st place in the final standings.”
