The #23 Panis Barthez Ligier JS P2 of Paul Loup Chatin, Fabien Barthez and Timothe Buret again topped the tables in a session punctuated by six Full Course Yellows (FCY) and a red flag. Chatin again set the pace clocking in with a 1:33.881 on the 9th of the car’s 35 laps.
The #40 Krohn Racing Ligier, without American owner Tracy Krohn who is sidelined this weekend following a training injury, took the second spot with Olivier Pla setting a 1:35.974 on the 18th lap.
American team Dragonspeed took the third spot in the session with Nicholas Lapierre taking the Oreca 05 – Nissan to a 1:34.485 on the team’s seventh lap.
In LMP3, the top time of 1:40.349 went to Nicollo Schiro in the #7 Villorba Corse. The #19 DUQUEINE ENGINEERING was 0.420s behind and the top three were rounded out by Panis Barthez Competition’s #16 with Simon Gachet setting a 1:40.823.
Murphy Prototypes, who while still waiting for the arrival of their Ave-Riley car, have swapped from the Ginetta they ran at Silverstone to a Ligier this weekend. However after a disastrous Friday FP1 the Irish team are clearly struggling to get to grips with the JS P3, finishing the session in 40th position.

Scottish Team JMW Motorsport set the pace again in LM GTE with their #66 Ferrari 458 Italia putting in 40 laps and setting a 1:41.870 on the 31st. Positions for second and third were reversed from Friday’s FP1 with the Dunlop shod #88 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR 991 setting a 1:42.044 and AF Corse’s #55 Ferrari F458 Italia of Duncan Cameron, Matt Griffin and Aaron Scott clocking in a 1:42.521.
