Following a penalty imposed at the end of the race, the podium for the first race of the 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup season has changed seeing Team Virage lose its second place .

The #71 Ligier JS P320 crew received a one second stop & go which was converted into 36 seconds added to the race time. The stewards indicated that Team Virage did not respect the reference time of 130 seconds during the car’s second pit stop.

Following this penalty, United Autosports ended with a double podium with second and third places. Virage’s #71 is now officially classified in fifth position.
