It was an eventful first day in Barcelona at the Circuit de Catalunya, Hamilton left early due to feeling unwell, Wehrlein swapped from the 2014 Force India to the Merceded to replace Hamilton, Wolff & Nasir collided, the McLaren driven by Button managed 21 laps before an issue occurred with a component in the ERS and Maldonodo topped the time sheets (see full list of laps and times below)
