Every year in September the city of Angoulême in south west France hosts the ‘Circuit des Remparts’ weekend where hundreds of classic and sports cars and tens of thousands of spectators descend upon the area to watch three days of packed automotive entertainment.

A Concours D’elegance on the Friday night where cars and entrants alike are all dressed for the period (the winner of which will win their weight in Cognac!), a Rallye averaging 180km through a countryside of vineyards, villages and with a rich history of castles, mansions and manor houses waiting to be discovered. On the Sunday, the main event takes place with the streets closed and a day of historic racing takes place on a circuit unchanged since the 1930’s!

We have been attending the annual event since 2006 but this year we decided for the first time to enter the rallye. The video is a brief, personal view of the day, we hope you enjoy.
