Nicolas Lapierre has become the newest shareholder of RACING SPIRIT OF LÉMAN, the company managed by Patrick Barbier which runs Cool Racing’s activities.
Lapierre, who has driven for Toyota in LMP1 and Alpine and Dragonspeed in LMP2, joined COOL Racing in 2019 as a mentor driver and will continue his role in the Swiss team in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series.
Patrick Barbier, Managing Director of RACING SPIRIT OF LÉMAN: “We have enjoyed working with Nicolas since his arrival at COOL Racing at the start of the 2019 season. His qualities as a driver have allowed us to progress very quickly and we are now going to benefit more from his experience and contacts for the development of our structure. The first COOL Racing campaign in WEC has started very well and we hope to be able to continue on the same course with all our sports programs as soon as the season can start again.”
