Neel Jani and Andre Lotterer took their Porsche 919 Hybrid to overall pole for Saturday’s 6h Spa-Francorchamps.

The pair set an average time of 1:54.097 to put the #1 car 0.596s ahead of the #7 Toyota pairing of Kobayashi and Conway. The French pairing of Nicolas Lapierre and Stefan Sarazin rounded out the top three in the #9 high-downforce Toyota TS050. Not unexpectedly the Bykolles Racing ENSO-CLM finished way down the timing sheets in 11th position, however, it did set the fastest speed of the day with Oliver Webb clocking up 315 kph early in the session.

In LMP2, class honours and pole went to the #26 G-Drive Racing Oreca of Pierre Thiriet and Roman Rusinov, the pair setting a 2:02.601 average lap. Second place went to the #36 Alpine (Oreca) of Matt Rao and Romain Dumas with the sister #35 Alpine closing out the top three with a 2:02.629 average, just 0.005s behind.
