Timo Bernhard took the #1 Porsche 919 Hybrid to the top of the FP1 table today setting a time of 1m26.847s, just over half a second clear of Loic Duval in the #8 Audi R18 TDI. The championship leading #2 Porsche, driven by Frenchman Romain Dumas was third quickest.
Audi’s #8 car was fourth fastest, ahead of the two Toyotas which were both around 4s off the pace (before Sarrazin totaled the #6 TS050 when he spun into the pitwall at the exit of the Peraltada). The car ended the session fifth fastest.
Rene Rast in the #26 G-Drive Oreca-Nissan topped the LMP2 timesheets, four tenths ahead of the ageing but reliable Strakka Gibson 015s.
In GTE Pro, Italian Gianmaria Bruni topped the timing screens for AF Corse in the Ferrari 488, ahead of the #95 Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage.
Wolf Henzler was quickest in GTE Am in his KCMG Porsche, a tenth clear of Emanuel Collard’s Ferrari.
