
Thomas Laurent got his first taste of Toyota’s TS050 Hybrid this morning in the third of four 4h tests at the FIA WEC Prologue in Barcelona.
The Frenchman set a 1:30.484 however, the session’s fastest time of 1:29.623 was set by Toyota veteran Mike Conway (whom Laurent is sharing the #7 car with).
In line with the previous day’s sessions, second spot went to the other Toyota, the #8’s fastest time being a 1:29.719 set by WEC returnee Brendan Hartley.
The #3 and #1 Rebellion R13s were third and fourth fastest setting times of 1:30.110 and 1:30.356 respectively.
The two Team LNT Ginettas rounded out the LMP1 category with a 1:31.006 (#5, Charlie Robertson) and 1:31.256 (#6, Luca Ghiotto).

LMP2 was the domain of Racing Team Nederland, this time running Michelin Rubber, with Nyck De Vries setting a 1:32.941.
Second spot went to the # 42 Cool Racing Oreca with a time of 1:33.081 set by Nico Lapierre.
The # 37 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca running Good Year tyres rounded out the class top 3 with Will Stevens setting a lap of 1:33.383.
In GTE Pro it was again the #71 AF Corse Ferrari that topped the timing sheets. The #92 Porsche 911 RSR – 19 was second with the #51 Ferrari making it 2 in the top three for AF Corse.

GTE Am was dominated by the Porsches. The two fastest again being the #57 (1:44.467) and #56 (1:44.546) Project 1 cars with Ben Barker taking the # 86 Gulf Racing car to third.
No’s 70, 77 and 90 did not participate in the session.
