with the first round of the European Le Mans Series done and dusted, all eyes now turn the FIA World Endurance Championship where the Prologue kicks off in a week’s time at Belgium’s iconic Spa Francorchamps circuit and Dempsey-Proton Racing, aiming to capitalize on the next wave of headlines have unveiled the crew of their #88 Porsche 911 RSR for the opening round of the WEC.
Marco Seefried, Andrew Haryanto and Alessio Picariello will share the wheel of the GTE Am category Porsche when it takes to the tarmac in the Belgian Ardennes.
The German driver Seefried is no stranger to the Proton Competition team as he competed in the 2015 FIA WEC season alongside Patrick Dempsey and Patrick Long.
Andrew Haryanto joins for his first drive of GTE machinery and will use the Belgian round as part of his preparations for his first participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the wheel of a Porsche 911 RSR from the Absolute Racing team. The Indonesian driver plenty of experience of the iconic Spa track having driven twice in the Total 24 Hours of Spa in 2018 and 2019.
Alessio Picariello is another Proton Competition graduate having raced with the team last season in the European Le Mans Series. The Belgian also took part in the FIA WEC 8 Hours of Bahrain at the end of last season with British GTE Am Gulf Racing.
