Automobiles Peugeot and the REBELLION Corporation have announced they will join forces to meet the challenge of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the Le Mans 24 Hours.

The partnership will hit the tracks in 2022 in the new Hypercar category with a vehicle that utilises hybrid electrified powertrains.

“Peugeot has written some great pages in the history of endurance with its petrol and diesel engines, and we now want to open a new chapter with hybridisation.” said Jean-Philippe Imparato, Automotive Director at Peugeot. 

Jean-Marc Finot, Director of PSA Motorsport continued: “We are very pleased to be able to partner with one of the major players in endurance.

“REBELLION Racing’s expertise and know-how in WEC is a real asset to enable us to build a strong team for 2022.

“We are young, ambitious and Rebellious!” said REBELLION’s Calim Bouhadra “I am proud to see that we share the same values with PEUGEOT!

“Peugeot Sport’s technical know-how combined with REBELLION Racing’s experience will be decisive assets in starting this new era of endurance with clearly stated ambitions.

Starting in January 2020, the joint technical team will begin work on the project and in parallel, Peugeot Sport and REBELLION Racing will form the team, based in Versailles-Satory, to run the car(s).
