The FIA World Endurance Championship released it’s 2016 Provisional Calendar at the Lone Star Le Mans event this weekend. The final dates remain subject to validation by the FIA World Motor Sport Council.
The Prologue has been confirmed, as we expected, at France’s Paul Ricard circuit and the Nürburgring round, which was introduced this year to replace Brazil whilst the Interlagos track was upgraded remains for 2016 and will take place on 24 July to reduce the length of time between races over the summer period.
While Interlagos is still off the calendar we see the addition of a new event in Mexico City as next year’s first ‘fly away’ event before the regular CotA round.
