Audi have maintained their consistency at the top of the timing board for Sunday’s FIA World Endurance Championship season-opening Six Hours of Silverstone, with André Lotterer setting the fastest lap of the session, a 1:52.094 in his #7 Audi R18 e-tron quattro a few minutes before the end of the session.
Kazuki Nakajima in the #1 Toyota TS040 Hybrid, was second fastest setting a time 0.674 seconds slower than Lotterer’s.
The Prologue’s fastest team Porsche, finished the session by taking third and fourth place with the #18 Porsche 919 Hybrid beating its sister car by 1/10th of a second. Both Porsches were over four seconds behind the Audi.
G-Drive Racing topped the LMP2 times with the Ligier JS P2 finishing the session with a 2:04.835.
KCMG’s stunning liveried Oreca 05 Nissan came in on the second spot two seconds behind the Ligier. The long-awaited Strakka Racing’s #42 Dome S103 finished in third place.
In GTE-Pro the #92 Porsche Team Manthey Porsche 911 RSR eased out the #95 Aston Martin Racing Vantage by just 0.047 seconds to claim top spot. The #91 sister car rounded out the top three.
In the GTE-Am category it was AF Corse’s #81 Ferrari 458 Italia that set the pace with a 2:16.396, outpacing the #77 Dempsey Racing-Proton Porsche and the #96 Aston Martin Racing Vantage
