As we know, Team SARD-Morand were absent from the World Endurance Championship’s opening round, The 6 Hours of Silverstone due to ongoing due-dilligence regarding the buyout by Kairos Technologies, and today, with the press release below it appears that all is not well in the Japanese-Swiss team.

Team Morand SA announces:

The termination of its collaboration with Kairos and the withdrawal by both sides of the shareholding ownership by Kairos Technologies in Team Morand SA.

Since Race to 24 Limited did not meet its financial commitments, Team Morand SA is no longer supporting the sports program established by Race to 24 for the winner of the show.

Team SARD-Morand maintains its entry in the LMP2 class of the 6 Hours of Spa Francorchamps WEC and the other WEC events of the 2015 season. Further information and announcements will be published very shortly.

A very short statement perhaps leaving more questions unanswered than not.

the team has already withdrawn one of it’s cars from this year’s Le Mans race and at the moment we can only assume from the above that the No. 43 car will retain its entry.

Update: Sources close to Dailysportscar.com suggest that the split could be due to the purchase deal not including ownership of the teams two LMP2 cars. Full details here.
