Mark Webber topped the timing sheets for Porsche in a damp Free Practice 3 at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit this morning. The Australian set a time of 1:41.002 in the #1 919 Hybrid 0.291s ahead of Anthony Davidson in the #5 Toyota TS050. The #8 Audi R18 rounded out the P1 top three with a 1:41.542.
In LMP2 the #26 G-Drive Racing was again setting the pace finishing the session with a fastest lap of 1:50.260. The #44 Manor ran 0.723s behind clocking in a session fastest lap of 1:50.983 while the #35 Baxi DC Racing Alpine completed an all Oreca 05 – Nissan top three (despite it being badged as an Alpine) with a 1:51.246.
Aston Martin failed to capitalise on yesterday’s FP2 speed of Darren Turner finishing today’s session a lowly fourth with a best of 1:58.134. The session’s fastest time went to AF Corse’s #51 Ferrari 488 with a 1:57.145 with it’s sister #71 car a mere 0.220s behind. rounding out the top three times in Pro were the Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK with the #67 #BritPack car clocking in a 1:57.530.
In GTE Am the session toppers were the #88 Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing Porsche 911 RSR closely followed by the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 458 and KCMG’s Prosche 911 RSR rounded out the top three for the class.
