British driver Justin Wilson is scheduled to make his Formula E debut for the Andretti Formula E team at the upcoming Moscow ePrix. 

Wilson, will join ex-Toro Rosso driver Jean-Eric Vergne due to Scott Speed being of X-Games duty the weekend of the Moscow round.

The 36 year old has most recently been seen behind the wheel of Andretti’s Rolling Stones-themed Indianapolis 500 entry and is looking excited to be making his debut in the new single seater series.

“I’m looking forward to making my Formula E debut with Andretti,” said Wilson.

“Ive been following the championship from the start, and it is a very interesting formula. I appreciate Michael [Andretti] giving me this opportunity.”

The British driver will be the seventh driver for Andretti this season, and he understands he has a steep learning curve when he jumps in the Spark-Renault SRT_01E.

“I know there is a lot to learn, but I am excited about this new challenge and looking forward to the Moscow ePrix weekend already!” said Wilson.

Wilson has vast experience in numerous forms of Motorsport, including Formula One, Indy Car and the American Le Man Series will help him adapt to the Formula E car.

His debut will take place on the sixth of June in Moscow with Nelson Piquet Jr leading the championship by two points to Sebastien Buemi.
