The coming weekend will see the start of the Blancpain Sprint Series in the French city of Nogaro.

Molitor Racing Systems will debut with the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 and the driver pairing Craig Dolby and Sean Walkinshaw. Following the promising tests during the past few weeks, the team is looking ahead optimistically to the first race.

To ensure a best possible preparation for the new season, the MRS-Team took part in the official test drives at Paul Ricard, as well as further testing at Nogaro, the Lausitzring and in Spa-Francorchamps. Craig Dolby, who celebrates his 27th birthday today, was able to collect important knowledge about the Nissan GT-R last year and is excited about the upcoming race. “There are still a few things we need to learn, but we have a great team and together with Sean Walkinshaw I am sure we are in a very good position”, said the Englishman. “Our goal is to collect some points and show a good performance.”

Dolby´s team-mate Sean Walkinshaw, who made a name of himself showing impressive achievements in Formula Motorsport over the past few years, thinks that the 3,36 km long Nogaro-Circuit will suit the GT-R. “The new GT-R seems to be going well on all track-layouts we have driven on so far. Nogaro is a bit of a tight and curvy track, but I think it will be a highly competitive race”, said the 21-year-old. “My expectations for Nogaro are fairly high, although I have not got that much experience driving a GT-car. The tests went really well and I have been learning a lot about the car. I would have liked to see us qualify in the Top-10 and then push a bit further up the ladder during the race.”
