As reported by Motorsport.com, yesterday, four teams from the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and the World Endurance Championship (WEC) are testing the new 2015 spec Dunlop LMP2 tyres at the Motorland Aragon circuit in north eastern Spain this week.

SARD-Morand and G-Drive Racing from the WEC and Greaves Motorsport and Jota Sport (ELMS) have all been in action during the last few days.

Greaves and Jota are both running the newly renamed Gibson 015S with aerodynamic developments in conjunction with their tyre testing program.

Jota Sport, who are set to name Simon Dolan and Filipe Albuquerque’s ELMS team mate early next month, had Audi factory driver Filip Albuquerque on hand yesterday to further asses the new-look 2015 bodywork.

Greaves Motorsport is running a variety of drivers over the test days, including Robbie Kerr and Abdulaziz Al Faisal, who both got mileage in the Gibson-Nissan yesterday. Kerr, who finished second in an LMP2 Zytek at Le Mans back in 2007, has been without a regular drive since he raced for the Delta-ADR team in the 2013 FIA WEC.

It was unclear whether or not US racer Alexander Rossi will be part of Greaves Motorsport’s plans this season. Motorsport.com reported recently that both parties were close to a deal earlier this month, for at least the Le Mans 24 Hours, but negotiations are believed to have cooled in recent weeks.

G-Drive Racing took the chance to give new recruits Pipo Derani, Sam Bird and Gustavo Yacaman some mileage in one of their Ligier JS3 chassis over the weekend. Roman Rusinov was also driving for the team which will race two Ligier-Nissan entries in the full FIA WEC this year.

Testing continues today.
