With the launch of the Dunlop Prototype Series we have a UK national series supporting both Prototype and CN-cars on control Dunlop rubber.  The weekend also sees the national debut of the Ginetta G57 a track ready high-performance prototype at the pinnacle of the Ginetta ladder.

Cars are categorised in one of 4 classes based on relative performance. The initial class structure being:

  • Class 1 – Rileys, Aquilla, Rapier, Ginetta G57, Praga R1, Tampolli and similar
  • Class 2 – Sakers, Radical RXC, RXC Spyder, Radical SR8 and similar
  • Class 3 – CN from 2011 – Norma M 20 FC, Wolf GB 08, Ligier JS 53, Tatuus PY 012, Juno CN 2012, Zulltec CZ-2 and similar
  • Class 4 – CN up to 2010 – Norma M20 F, Ligier JS-49 Aerodynamics evolution 2008, Ligier JS 51, Juno 2009, Radical SR3 and similar

Here is the story of the Silverstone Saturday race in pictures, which saw the Ginetta G57s complete a dominant weekend in the Series finishing with all three podium places. Fittingly it was Lawrence Tomlinson, Ginetta’s Chariman who took the honours on the top step.

In addition to the season opener at Silverstone GP circuit this weekend the Dunlop Prototype Series will visit Spa Francorchamps (in Belgium), Donington Park with its flowing Craner Curves and Snetterton with the new ‘300’ layout. We urge you to get trackside and see some of these ‘monsters’ at play!
