The first practice session in preparation for the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was a very wet affair this morning.
After the 2 hour session Audi were on top with the No.1 Audi, Toyota followed them closely in 2nd & 3rd places with the No.7 & No.8 TS040. 4th and 5th place in LMP1 was held by the No.2 Audi and No.14 porsche, with the No.15 Porsche ending the first session in 6th place. The Rebellion Racing and their new Toyota powered R-one managed 10th place overall around 12 seconds off the pace of the front runner while the other No.13 car didnt set a laptime.
Top of the LMP2 cars was the No.8 & No.9 SMP Racing Oreca Nissans followed by the No.38 Jota Soort Zytek NIssan. with the No.47 KCMG Oreca Nissan taking 4th and the No.26 G-drive Morgan taking 5th
Fastest of the GTE cars was the No.75 Prospeed Porsche 911 GT3 RSR from the GTE-AM class followed by the GTE-Pro No.51 AF Corse Ferrarri 458 & No.92 GTE-Pro Porsche 911 of Porsche Team Manthey. Bruno Senna’s No.97 Aston Martin finished 6th out of the GTE’s (3rd in GTE-Pro )
