Aguri announced the departure of Berthon earlier this week, with Duran re-joining the team he left after season one.

Duran will stay with Team Aguri for the rest of the season, meaning the Mexican will race at his home race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on March 12th.

The 30-year-old, who originally was meant to take part in season two with Trulli GP before their withdraw earlier this season, is pleased to return to the championship.

“I am very excited to have re-signed for Team Aguri.” Said Duran.

“This is a very ambitious team with some of the best engineering and technical knowledge in Formula E, and I look forward to being part of an already successful season.

“I’m particularly looking forward to my home race in Mexico in March. The atmosphere will be amazing and I can’t wait to put on a good show for all my compatriots.”

Marc Faggionato, the owner of Team Aguri, is pleased to have his former driver back onboard, “Salvador is a perfect fit for the team and it’s great to have him joining us.

His experience in the series is crucial, given the unique handling of these cars, and will play a major role in driving the team’s development forward for the remainder of the season and into next year.”

Duran will return to the series alongside debutant Mike Conway, in Argentina on February 6th.
