Jack Perkins has signed for the Holden Racing Team as co-driver to James Courtney in the 2015 V8 Supercars endurance races.

The 28 year old was left with out a full time drive when Lee Holdsworth replaced him at Charlie Schwerkolt Racing. Despite the lack of a full season drive Perkins is happy to join HRT.

“I couldn’t be happier to pair with James Courtney, who is the only driver to have won a championship during Jamie Whincup’s period of supremacy,” said Perkins.

“I’m going to put my best foot forward for James and HRT’s ambitions, and we’ll also do our best to reclaim Bathurst’s Peter Brock trophy as well.”

Perkins who finished 23rd overall and a best finish of eighth last year will replace Greg Murphy as Courtney’s co-driver. Holden Racing Team Managing Director Adrian Burgess believes Perkins is the right fit for the job,

“It’s great to bring Jack Perkins into the HRT family. He’s fresh from a full-time drive, and comes with solid Bathurst experience – two key ingredients in being able to jump in and be competitive straight away,” said Burgess .

We’re looking forward to putting him together with James, and know that they will make a formidable pairing for Sandown, Bathurst and the Gold Coast.”

Perkins will race at the, Wilson Security Sandown 500, Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 and the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600.
